Hamas’ attack on Israeli civilian areas, villages near the border with the Gaza Strip, on October 7, 2023 resulted in 1139 deaths, most of them civilian children, women and men, and 247 hostages, many of whom were later killed. This attack would have been impossible without Iran’s extensive economic and military support for Hamas for decades.
The Islamic regime in Iran since 1979 has declared war on Israel with the aim of eradicating the state of Israel and its Jewish population and returning the territory to the Palestinians. Iran’s warfare against Israel has been indirect and often via Iran’s allies in the region, namely Hamas in Gaza strip, Hezbollah in Lebanon, certain groups in Iraq and the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Israel’s response to the October 7 attack has been extensive and merciless. Hamas suffered enormous suffering both militarily, in military equipment and combat personnel, economically and civilianly. Israel also managed to eliminate several of Hamas’ political and military front figures, including Hamas political leader Ismail Haniya, in Tehran on July 31, 2024, Hamas military leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza on October 16, 2024, Salah al-Bardawil and Isamil Barhoum on March 23, 2025.
Hezbollah in Lebanon, with Iranian green light, participated in the war, from the north, to support Hamas by attacking Israel with extensive rocket attacks. Israel then attacked Hezbollah by first knocking out Hezbollah’s top political and military leadership. Israel blew up, in a coordinated attack, 3,000 pagers belonging to and used by Hezbollah’s military and political leaders. Several thousand of these leaders were either killed or injured, including the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon who lost an eye and some fingers when his pager was blown up in his hand. Between July and September 2024, Israel managed to eliminate several leaders in Hezbollah’s top echelons, including Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s top political leader, Ibrahim Kobeissi, Ali Karaki, Mohammad Surur and Fuad Shukr. Through a comprehensive airstrike that resulted in enormous military losses, Hezbollah was forced to a ceasefire.
It is worth noting here that on May 19, 2024, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, his Foreign Minister Hossien Amir-Abdollahian, and several other members of the Iranian political and military leadership were killed in a helicopter crash. Both the President and the Foreign Minister were carrying similar pagers that were detonated in Lebanon, killing and wounding more than 3,000 of Hezbollah’s political and military leadership.
Through extensive and coordinated Israeli and American airstrikes, the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels suffered greatly and lost a large part of their capacity to attack civilian ships in the Red Sea.
Several of the Axis of Evil powers in the region, Iraq, Libya, Syria, are now eliminated. Iran is a ”cancerous tumor” in the region that, through its proxies and at the expense of the suffering of millions of Iranians, is waging a senseless war against Israel and America. A war that has cost Iranians, Lebanese, Iraqis, Syriens, Gazans and Yemenis enormous civil and economic suffering for 45 years.
This is a historic opportunity for Israel to completely eliminate the Islamic regime. The outstretched hands of evil are cut off and the Serpent himself is wounded. The Islamic regime ruined the Iranian economy. The people of Iran, a majority of them, cannot even eat their fill once a day. Now is the best opportunity to cut off the head of the Serpent. Israel has this historic chance now. It is not enough to control Iranian uranium enrichment. If Israel and the US make this mistake and let the Islamic regime get away, this barbaric regime will come back and strike Israel and the US with greater force again.
The Iranian people cannot overthrow this regime on their own. The terrorists who are in power in Iran have more than 2 million militiamen who mercilessly kill anyone who protests. The only way to weaken this regime, and to create more opportunity for popular uprising is for Israel to not only attack Iranian nuclear facilities but also in the same time attack Iranian military and economic targets as well as its political leadership, similar to what they did with precession in Lebanon.
If Israel does not seize this opportunity to cut off the head of the Serpent, they are just clowns with too much talk and too little action.
